Celebrating 25 years of the Prima Tiger Cup.
Each year, under 10 players are invited from around the UK to take part in a series of festivals to celebrate the true ethos of rugby’s core values.
The events are the biggest single age-group festivals of their kind giving junior teams the opportunity to be invited back to Welford Road to play ahead of a Tigers official fixture – providing a great experience and lasting memories for everyone involved.
The festivals unique scoring system marks clubs across a variety of ‘Fair Play’ scores including everything from the rugby, to sportsmanship, to attitudes.
Tigers centre, academy graduate and local lad Charlie Thacker met youth players at Lutterworth Rugby Club, the ground of his own former junior team.
Charlie was a former participant in the Prima Tiger Cup and Leicester Tigers TV made a short film on just why the festival is so important to young players, as well as sharing his own memories of taking part.

After the first two festivals, 12 teams have been invited back to Welford Road to play in the Prima Tiger Cup, Prima Tiger Bowl and Prima Tiger Shield.
Good luck to everyone taking part!
